Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, founders of the Gemini exchange, each donated $500,000 in Bitcoin to support John Deaton, a pro-cryptocurrency attorney, in his efforts to unseat Senator Elizabeth Warren. The twins hailed Deaton as an “American hero” and the “only candidate who can defeat Warren in the Massachusetts Senate race.” They described Warren as “one of the greatest threats to American prosperity,” sharply criticizing her anti-cryptocurrency policies. Deaton, a prominent advocate for Ripple (XRP), enjoys strong support from the crypto community, and his political action committee recently received $1 million from Ripple.
