Circle: Stablecoins Will Become the Currency of the Internet Age

Circle, the issuer of the world’s second-largest stablecoin, USDC, is confident that stablecoins will evolve into the standard currency of the internet era. Dante Disparte, Chief Strategy Officer at Circle, believes that online payment companies and other financial services will enter this field. He emphasized the need for globally coordinated regulations to ensure conservative reserve practices and anti-financial crime measures for all stablecoin issuers. Circle plans to relocate its global headquarters to New York by early 2025. Disparte urged the U.S. Congress to pass stablecoin legislation to create a secure framework for how Americans send, spend, save, and secure their money.
