Supreme Leader: The Seminary Must Express Opinions on Economic Issues and Cryptocurrencies

The seminary exists for the people, for preaching and advancing religion, and for establishing religious governance. Given that society is constantly evolving, the seminary must also modernize to fulfill its duties properly.

The Supreme Leader stated that the seminary, like other institutions, needs transformation and said: “The seminary exists for the people, for preaching and advancing religion, and for establishing religious governance. Given that society is constantly evolving, the seminary must also modernize to fulfill its duties properly.” He emphasized the need to update books and teaching methods in seminaries and to address societal issues such as financial and monetary matters, governance, family, and emerging topics like cryptocurrencies. He added, “Opposing the transformation of seminaries is equivalent to opposing the advancement of religion in the country. However, those who implement transformation must be qualified.”
