The Impact of Pro-Cryptocurrency Voters on U.S. Elections

According to research by Coinbase, approximately 52 million Americans own cryptocurrency, with one in six residing in key swing states. The exchange believes that cryptocurrency voters will have a significant impact on crucial elections, especially the presidential race. In key states, 40% of registered voters are from Generation Z and Millennials, 65% of whom own cryptocurrency. Additionally, 23% of voters in these states are non-white, 35% of whom hold cryptocurrency. Interestingly, 90% of cryptocurrency holders state they are likely to vote in the November 5 presidential election and are four times more enthusiastic about supporting pro-cryptocurrency candidates than the average eligible voter. Coinbase declared, “They are eager to vote and will play a significant role in races that will determine the outcome of the 2024 elections.”
