Recently, an employee complained about unpaid wages, including part set in EcoWatt tokens. The court ruled in favor of the employee and ordered the payment of the cryptocurrency salary per the contract without converting it to fiat currency. Heaver believes this decision is a significant step in the UAE’s path toward leading the digital economy and could help create a more innovative business environment.
